Unibloc® Hygienic Technologies (UHT) has redesigned its Unibloc QuickStrip® PD200 series pumps to complete its CleanPlus™ line. Long the lobe pump processors reach for when the job calls for precise, low-flow applications, the world’s smallest hygienic lobe pump now gives more to operators who demand more: a long-lasting, high-accuracy pump built for high-performance.
The redesigned pump is suited to food, personal care, and specialty chemical products. Typical applications include low-flow dosing and metering, and filling-machine OEM integration. It is superior to a gear pump for high-temperature or abrasive products and products with delicate inclusions.
Unique CleanPlus advantages
The Unibloc CleanPlus PD200 series pumps bring the features valued on larger CleanPlus pumps to compact, precision applications. FlushCap® bearings stabilize the rotors while allowing cleaning fluid to penetrate, making the pump Clean-in-Place (CIP) capable. Bolt-free rotors remove any chance of damage from mis-torquing. Fully machined stainless-steel rotors take plastic out of the process.
QuickStrip design lowers costs
The patented QuickStrip design minimizes parts and requires no tools for disassembly, cutting manual cleaning cycles from hours to minutes. Operators achieve the fastest seal change of any QuickStrip pump simply by removing the ergonomic wing nuts, and sliding off the housing. “Fast disassembly and labor savings lower the total cost of ownership,” said Calle Danielsson, UHT sales engineer. “Operators spend less time maintaining pumps and spend more time focused on production.”
By pairing these labor savings with CleanPlus features, the redesigned PD200 delivers on Unibloc’s core promise: technology that is easier to maintain, faster to clean, simpler to reassemble, and less costly to operate.
Higher performance increases productivity
CleanPlus pumps operate with tighter tolerances that support higher flow at lower speed and steadier performance as viscosity changes. This makes filling and dosing more accurate with less product slipping past the rotors. A single setup covers runs of different batch viscosities. More working pressure at lower speed means less stress on the pump and a longer service life for the investment.
Specifications
Three PD200 series models are available with inlet sizes ranging from 0.35 inches to 1.0 inches and capacities ranging from 0.25 gallon to 18 gallon (0.1 liter/min to 60 liter/min). More product information is available at: https://unibloctech.com/product/unibloc-lobe-pumps/
