Appointment accelerates Knowtion’s growth as the company expands its leadership
team, invests in AI and opens a new headquarters in Plano, Texas
PLANO, Texas, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Knowtion Health, a healthcare company specializing in complex revenue recovery for providers, today named Steven Huddleston chief executive officer. Huddleston brings more than 25 years of experience in healthcare finance, strategy and revenue cycle leadership, including time spent as a health system finance executive. He has also built and led technology-enabled revenue cycle services companies, giving him a clear view of what health systems need from a partner.

Huddleston’s perspective comes from working on nearly every side of hospital revenue and reimbursement. At HCA Healthcare, he spent more than a decade in finance and operations leadership. There, he oversaw billing and collections for the care its hospitals provided and helped launch HCA’s revenue cycle shared services organization. He took that operating background to Accenture, where he advised many of the nation’s largest health systems as managing director in the firm’s U.S. provider healthcare strategy practice. From there, he turned to building the companies that serve hospitals. After helping create nThrive and leading its growth as president and chief client officer, he served as chief executive officer of Pelitas and, most recently, Ventra Health. Together, those experiences shape how he leads Knowtion, combining a finance leader’s understanding of hospital economics, a strategist’s view of the industry and a builder’s track record of growing businesses.
That experience matters to hospital finance leaders, who are navigating significant change in how their organizations collect payment. Over the past 20 years, most health systems have come to rely on a mix of internal teams, technology and outsourcing partners to manage that work. The revenue that still goes uncollected often sits in specialized areas that take deep expertise and technology to resolve. Knowtion focuses on those areas, working alongside health systems and their existing partners to recover revenue they have already earned.
“I’ve sat on the other side of this work, inside a health system. I know the revenue that’s hardest to collect often makes the biggest difference to a hospital’s margin and to its ability to care for patients,” said Steven Huddleston, chief executive officer of Knowtion Health. “Knowtion’s specialists chase that revenue every day, and I’m excited to lead a team that delivers those results for our clients and to keep investing in the technology that makes our specialists highly effective. We will partner with more of the nation’s leading health systems to build the financial strength they need to care for their patients and communities.”
Knowtion works across multiple solution areas, including clinical and administrative denials, independent dispute resolution under the No Surprises Act and coordination of benefits, where the company has built its expertise over more than 17 years. Across those areas, Knowtion manages billions of dollars annually in outstanding-balance accounts.
Huddleston’s appointment builds on steps Knowtion has taken this year to position itself for growth.
- In September, the company further strengthened its leadership team with the announcement of John Holyoak as chief solution officer, Mikky Franklin as chief delivery officer and Sarah Sweeney as senior vice president of marketing and communications.
- The company deepened its investment in AI-driven capabilities through a new collaboration with AI firm Ghamut Corporation, extending the technology that powers Knowtion’s recovery solutions.
- Knowtion also opened a new corporate headquarters in Plano, Texas, including an innovation center where clients and prospects can work directly with its teams on new solutions.
“We’re building a company where our people, our clients and our technology come together,” said Huddleston. “Our new home in Plano gives us a place to do that and to show health systems firsthand what we’re creating for them.”
